Who is María?
Born in Mexico, I have lived and worked in Mexico, Spain, and France. I have two nationalities, speak four languages, I’m a sea lover, mother of twins and I use to be wanderlust.
I have a degree in Graphic Communication from the Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana, in Mexico. In 1998, on my very first job, “Nueve en Red”, I specialized in the production and coordination of web projects. Shortly after I moved to Spain to support the web section of “Uno Multimedia” in Santander. In Barcelona, I was part of the team of “Dimprés” doing web design and corporate image. Later I joined “Staffmedia” to create the multimedia section and to develop and manage global projects.
In Mexico, I collaborated with “Infovision” a multimedia and digital marketing agency. Not to long after, I started my own business, “Orozcoci”, where I offered integral graphic communication for agencies such as Ogilvy, Leo Burnett, and companies like as Unilever Mexico.
Life took me to Toulouse, France. Within “L’agence happy” I supported different projects and gained a different vision of creative processes. Back in Barcelona, curiosity for global projects led me to “Pacopepe Comunicación”, a creative studio with collaborators trained in fine arts, advertising, photography, marketing, etc., which allowed us to offer fresh concepts, innovative image creations and integral management of branding and online projects.
In 2011, I decided to fly solo, and since then, I have been enthusiastically offering my services as a Freelance Graphic Communicator. I’m also a 4th-year student of the Translation and Interpretation of Applied Modern Languages degree at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
In my job, I embrace everything I have learned along the way: to know very closely the needs of each client, to offer them the best way to say what they want to say, to whom they want to say it.
